Hello everybody,
I need same help.
I operate a QTRAP 5500 with Turbo Spray source housing installed.
Now after a little Curtain Plate cleaning and putting the source Turbo Spray back, the MS shows me that a Triple Quad MALDI Source housing is installed. And the MS rest in red.
Could anybody has experience in this error? What could it be?

Hi there Carlos,
This has to do with the source recognition on the instrument, which happens through the plug along the bottom edge of your TurboV source. Try deactivating the hardware profile, then taking off your source, then putting it back on. Then reactivate the profile and see if that now gives you the right source.
If that doesn’t work, deactivate the hardware profile, then power cycle the MS system. That should force it to recognize the correct source once you reactivate.
