Recently, we asked customers to tell us about their biggest challenges so we could customize training programs to meet the needs of today’s growing lab. Without hesitation, most of you said uptime and employee training are your most critical needs. As a result, our SCIEX Now Learning Hub educational support team has been hard at work developing basic maintenance and advanced troubleshooting courses for your LC-MS instruments to empower you to keep your lab on task.Register for LC Maintenance or Advanced LC-MS Troubleshooting >

What you’ll learn
Now accepting registration, technology courses are taught by our application scientists onsite at your location. Participants will learn how to detect and understand:

  • System symptoms
  • Diagnostics
  • Maintenance issues
  • Testing
  • Troubleshooting and quick reference cards

Not only will you benefit from some of the most qualified instructors in today’s mass spec community, but you’ll also receive SCIEX certification and unlimited access to the course training material via SCIEX Now Learning Hub. Ready to get started?

Course Descriptions:
Advanced LC-MS Troubleshooting: A two-day course providing a variety of hands-on troubleshooting exercises and best practices, and finishing with a troubleshooting challenge for the learner. This course is intended for those who have completed a Learning Hub Success Program or have significant operational experience with SCIEX LC-MS systems. Available for SCIEX Triple Quad, QTRAP, and ExionLC systems, and selected Shimadzu and Agilent HPLC systems. Course part number TRNSU200.

Introduction to LC Maintenance: A one-day course providing a variety of hands-on LC-MS maintenance tasks, focusing on your LC system. You will learn how to recognize LC issues, recommended maintenance, and how to exchange various consumable parts to keep your system running properly. This course is intended for those who have completed a SCIEX Now Learning Hub Success Program or have some operational experience with SCIEX LC-MS systems. Available for SCIEX ExionLC systems and selected Shimadzu HPLC systems coupled with SCIEX Triple Quad, QTRAP, TripleTOF or X500 QTOF systems. Course part number TRNSU150.

Is “right first time, every time” a pipedream for metabolite identification by LC-MS?

If we lived in an ideal world, it would be possible to unambiguously identify metabolites using a single analytical experiment. This analytical technique would need to be efficient and easily generate the information needed from a routine assay that is also robust, enabling confident decision-making during drug discovery.

Supporting new CRISPR gene editing systems

Prime editing (PE) is a next-generation gene editing technology that utilizes a Cas9 protein fused to a prime editing guide ribonucleic acid (pegRNA) to achieve high CRISPR/Cas9 editing efficiency and precision. However, the length requirement of pegRNAs at 120–250 nucleotides (nt) and their high level of secondary structure formation present analytical challenges for the purity analysis of chemically synthesized pegRNAs during development and quality control (QC).

A new approach for comprehensive AAV evaluation including full and empty analysis

Certain next-gen vaccines and gene therapy applications rely on the usage of adeno-associated viruses (AAV) as a delivery vehicle. To ensure the safety and efficacy of viral vector drugs, multiple critical quality attributes (CQAs) need to be well characterized.
